One of the first questions my teacher in my sustainability class asked was what could we do to be more sustainable. The first answer - Don't eat bananas! I had just started eating a banana every morning for breakfast to get my potassium to stop leg cramps.
I was very confused as I could not see what this had to do with anything. The idea behind it, eat locally. Bananas do not grow in Utah, or even the US. I think this idea is great, to an extent. I don't do it, sorry to say, don't have enough patience to see where things come from or really care. And there is no way I'm giving up my potassium!
